Traffic Jam: Raising Awareness and Funds for Klinic’s Human Trafficking Hotline
On November 17, 2019, a crew of powerful female musicians and speakers will be taking over the Good Will Social Club’s stage to raise awareness and funds for Klinic’s Human Trafficking Hotline (The Line).
Traffic Jam will be taking place at 625 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB on Sunday, November 17, 2019. Doors open at 7:00pm and the musicians and speakers begin at 8:00pm. There will also be a number of incredible silent auction prizes available.
Musicians Sol James, Tracy Bone, and Gabriela Ocejo will be performing, and MLA Nahanni Fontaine, Dr. Tracey Bone, Dr Cathy Rocke, and Klinic’s LP will be speaking at the event to share valuable information about Human Trafficking and educate us on this pressing issue.
This event was created by three social work students during a social work assignment at the University of Manitoba. The project started to sound like it could work and it wasn’t long before the assignment was transformed into a working plan. With the support of local artists and members of our community, we are proud to say that we have made this idea a reality.
