Christmas Miracle

For over 100 holiday seasons, the Christmas Cheer Board has been delivering food, toys and good cheer to those in need. They pride themselves on being non-denominational, supporting Manitobans across all cultures and beliefs. To help make the season merrier for less fortunate members of our community, the Cheer Board will once again be providing families with grocery hampers and gifts for children 14 years of age and under.

To fulfil this need, Peggy@99-1 along with its sister stations, 680 CJOB and Power 97, will be live on-location near the food court at St. Vital Centre, November 24th and 25th for this year’s Christmas Miracle collection drive. If you’re able to assist with donations of cash, new unwrapped toys or non-perishable food items, please consider dropping them off for delivery to the Christmas Cheer Board. All contributions will be put towards gift and hamper deliveries between December 8th and 23rd. In return for any donation, you’ll be able to put a ballot into Santa’s Prize Sack to win concert tickets and other cool stocking stuffers.

Hours of operation:

FRIDAY (7 AM – 9 PM)

SATURDAY (9 AM – 6 PM)

If you’re unable to join us, you can also make advance donations anytime by texting the word ‘CHEER’ to 45678, or online at the Christmas Cheer Board’s website.

If you or someone you know is living in need and could use a helping hand, click here to apply for a hamper.

Let’s make spirits bright for everyone this holiday season!
